Um, also, since when did they start naming the snowstorms?? And NEMO? Why would you name a nasty winter storm after a cute little fishie?
Can I also mention that my entire state is covered by that lovely dark purple color with the word "BLIZZARD" in caps...
I asked my father last night if he was sure he didn't want to replace the broken snowblower before tomorrow. He told me he didn't need to, he had 4 snowblowers living in the house- my mother, himself, my 25 year old brother, and myself.
It should be fun, really.
I also went to the grocery store today because I actually was having a craving for bananas and spinach (not together of course). There were lines and the parking lot was packed at 1:30pm. I get it. It's going to snow. A lot. And it will be cold and some might lose power, but...I mean, do you really need to buy 2lbs of ham, the entire meat section, and 5 loaves of bread.
With all of that being said, I will most likely still have to go to work in the morning and might find myself driving home in blizzard conditions. I will probably take my father's GMC pickup truck.
To all my Northeast/New Englander friends- be safe and have some damn fun with the snow. Just try not to get frostbite and don't eat the yellow snow...

Ahahaha! We're gearing up for the same thing here! And umm I agree with that terrible name! Way to ruin a poor little fish's reputation
ReplyDeleteI work in a grocery store and I'm absolutely dreading tomorrow. Going to be ridiculous! (On the plus side, my day should fly by!)
ReplyDeleteI really wish Malloy would lift the ban on driving... I'm getting a wee bit stir crazy around here!!!!
